Synopsis

python ieee802154.py -p PORT|-r FILE [OPTIONS]

Options

General IO Options

• -p <portname>
  Name of the port which is read, e.g. /dev/ttyUSB0
• -r <capfile>
  Name of the capture file which is read mytrace.dat
• -i <pipename>
  Name of the pipe

Options for use with -p

• -c <channel>
  set IEEE802.15.4 channel number.
• -R < <r>>
  set IEEE802.15.4 data rate.

General Options

• -N <pkgcnt>
  Stop after <pkgcnt> packages are received.
• -v
  Set verbose output, multiple -v options increase the message details.

Online Commands

At the prompt "cmd:" the following commands are available:

• reopen - reopens the named pipe and places a pcap header, so that wireshark can reconnect.
• chan <<n>>
  set new channel to sniff.
• rate < <r>>
  set new data rate.
• devrst
  reinitialize the sniffer device
• debug
  start python debugger
• info
  show status of sniffer DEVIN
• quit
  end session and terminate all threads
• help
  show command help
